Studio Tranquilo is linocut printmaker and designer Magdalena Krupska’s brand new linocut studio and gallery. The space expresses all of Magdalena; “the colours are my energy and the prints on the walls show my thoughts over the last few years”.
Located in Santa Cruz, Portugal, Studio Tranquilo acts as Magadalena’s base from which she works on and designs new projects, displays her works, and invites others to join her for coffee. Her linocuts all centre on the expression of herself through the body and mind, through the emotions and fulfilling of the soul with creativity and colours. Evident in her works is the study of colours and how they affect the psychology of a human’s frame of mind.
The formation of the studio is testament to Magdalena’s hardwork and resilience. She states; “We all know that it’s not easy to make a living as an artist, constant investments, fighting for sales and promoting yourself. However, I have always believed that if you want something very much and decide to sacrifice a lot to achieve it, it will happen… Stay warm and never lose faith in yourself!”
