Zellerluoid

Zellerluoid is an Austrian screen printer and illustrator currently based in Barcelona, Spain. He describes the “screenprintmachine” he uses as a “high tech something” made out of the remaining wood from the house and the guitar of his friend Carlos. The table on which the machine moves was an old gambling table that has experienced the tragedy and glory of a lot of people of his village.After moving to Barcelona Zellerluoid started his own small printshop, The Bicycle Press, in the sunny neighbourhood of Poble Sec. Here, he`s surrounded by old and beautiful bicycles and the smell of ink, weed, oil and the salty air from the Mediterranean Sea.

His work is heavily influenced by the music he’s listening to every day and the artworks of the thousands of vinyls he is digging through. As an autodidact, Zellerluoid is driven by curiosity, and thanks to his technical skills from former education and work he feels comfortable in this zone!

Over the years he has been lucky to work with people and bands he admires, travelling and showcasing his Illustrations, gig posters, and artworks all over Europe, as well as in Mexico. Zellerluoid is constantly working on new stuff for his own T-Shirt Label, BRKN IDEAS, where he focuses on fair trade made and organic clothing.
