American photographer currently working in New York, Mark Lyon takes observational photos of his surroundings. Mark Lyon’s project ‘Landscapes for the People’ focuses on the landscape wallpapers often featured in dental rooms, waiting rooms and other banal locations. These murals transport the viewer to a more calming mindset. Mark Lyon transforms these scenes into surreal photographs combining medical equipment with old saturated landscape photographs.
