DodeCal Calendar

posted by Amber Weaver November 1, 2018

2018 is coming to a close and calendar season is fast approaching. Printed calendars are what we usually use to track our schedule consisting of months and days laid out in a strict design layout, giving us faith that a similar structure can be applied to our lives to hit the targets we set for 2019. Today however, we’re highlighting a slightly more unique product.

DodeCal is a wooden polyhedra calendar, designed with mathematical precision formed as a three dimensional object combining both functionality and contemporary design. What started out as a quick idea scribbled in a notebook, like most products and after many prototypes, samples and trials, resulted in a beautifully crafted product.

The 2019 edition of DodeCal is designed in London and manufactured deep in the hills of the Lake District, with timber sourced from sustainably managed forests from across the world made from English Oak. (All of the wood that used to extract this timber is responsibly sourced by timber suppliers who support sustainable forest management programmes.)

This lovely product comes packaged in a custom made, die-cut box made from card stock that is FSC Certified and 100% Virgin ECF Fibre. And to top it off, the unique design, on both the inside and outside of the box, is printed with environmentally friendly water-based screen printing inks.
