Artist, painter and printmaker Juliet James has reimagined two of her paintings; Night Watcher and Five Plus One as new blue editions. Juliet’s paintings and prints are a melange of technique and cross-process. She re-works and manipulates Digital and traditional printing techniques with the inclusion of collage and paint in order to create a unique surface pattern and texture.
The first piece, Midnight Watcher, is part of the series Watchers of the Waves which explores the sea as a form of camouflage, with bathers captivated by the patterns of waves at the shore. The second work, Les Belles d’Azure, is a new version of Five Plus One which was part of Juliet’s series Modern Love and Infinity that explored opposites, contrast, repetition and the act of the gaze.
Both pieces are available as Giclée prints in a limited edition of 25, measuring 38x49cm and printed on archival Canson Aquarelle Photo Rag paper. You can get in contact with Juliet to find out more.
