Juliet James — No Paint, No Gain!

posted by POP Members October 17, 2018

New People of Print Member Juliet James’ art work blurs the lines between traditional fine art, print-making and digital drawing techniques. These are combined and manipulated to culminate in digital prints that appear hand-drawn and canvas paintings that include digital and photographic elements.

In 2018 Juliet has been focussing on painting, experimenting with digital illustration effects applied to traditional painting techniques. A great feat of hers includes two of her paintings, Hot Pants (Replication II) and the Garden of Venus, were chosen to hang in Grayson Perry’s Yellow Room as part of the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. She also had work selected for the 2018 Secret-7” exhibition, which went on to be printed as part of limited edition record covers for the band the Manic Street Preachers.

Juliet is currently preparing for forthcoming exhibitions and a new online store selling original paintings and limited edition prints. Check her work out below!
